Clozd Platform Migration FAQs

The new Clozd Platform has arrived. Here's everything you need to know.

What is the new Clozd Platform?

Over the past 12+ months, our development team here at Clozd has been building a new win-loss platform from the ground up. The new Clozd Platform is a powerful, secure, and scalable web application designed to house our clients’ win-loss data. The platform replaces our previous web application, ClozdPortal. The initial version of the Clozd Platform offers similar functionality to ClozdPortal with a refreshed user interface. Over time, its robust data architecture will enable powerful feature development including direct CRM integration, multichannel data collection, role-based access controls, win rate analytics, and more.

When will my company be migrated to the new Clozd Platform

All Clozd clients will eventually be migrated to the new Clozd Platform, at which point our previous application (ClozdPortal) will be deprecated.Clients will be migrated to the new platform in phased cohorts. Several clients have already volunteered to be migrated in the first cohort starting in January 2021. Subsequent cohorts will be migrated throughout the months of February and March. For more specific information about your company’s migration date, contact your program consultant. To request early access to the new platform, click here.

Will there be new features and functionality?

Yes. The initial version of the Clozd Platform offers comparable functionality to our legacy application (ClozdPortal), with a few exciting enhancements:

  • A refreshed user interface and layout.
  • New 5-point rating scales for decision drivers (instead of 3-point rating scales).
  • New filter bars throughout the product that offer more robust filter logic.
  • New, filterable summary pages for each win-loss Decision Driver.
  • New, filterable summary pages for each win-loss Category.
  • Improved competitor summary pages with additional widgets.
  • Improved metadata management for unlimited user-defined fields and field types.
  • Improved data import functionality for importing pipeline data.

Most importantly, the robust data architecture of the new platform will enable powerful feature development in coming quarters, including direct CRM integration, multichannel data collection, role-based access controls, win rate analytics, and more.

Will we lose any data by migrating?

All of your organization’s existing win-loss data in ClozdPortal - including interviews, themes, and reports - will be migrated to the new platform. We will coordinate directly with you, at the time of migration, to verify that your data is complete and accurate. A backup of your data will be maintained in ClozdPortal until we are confident that the migration has been successful.

Will we lose any features by migrating?

Certain features will not be immediately available in the new Clozd Platform. Most of these features will be added before the final cohort of customers is migrated. However, certain features may never be replicated based on a lack of client adoption.

Features that are not currently available but are planned for development include:

  • Full-text search across deals.
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) integration.
  • Public sharing URLs for individual deals (i.e., the ability to directly access an individual deal without entering user login credentials).

Features that are not planned for development in the near future include:

  • Comments (i.e., the ability to add a comment to a deal).

We would love your feedback on the importance of these features to your organization. Please contact your program consultant to share your feedback, request a demo of the new platform, and/or to request participation in a later migration cohort.

Is the new Clozd Platform easy to use and navigate?

Yes. Although the user interface has been redesigned, initial feedback from customers relating to “ease of use” has been very positive. Most importantly, the main navigation tabs are almost identical to those of ClozdPortal. These tabs include:

  • Dashboard - A high-level overview of your program, including overall win-loss reasons.
  • Deals - A filterable, searchable database of all your deals.
  • Decision Drivers - Visualizations and analysis of the “themes” that drive wins and losses.
  • Competitors - Aggregated feedback about each of your top competitors.
  • Reports - Custom reports and/or dashboards prepared by your program consultant.

We anticipate that customers will find the new interface intuitive and easy to use. As you gain access to the new platform, please share feedback about the user experience with your program consultant.

Once I migrate to the new platform, can I still log into my old ClozdPortal account?

No. Once your company has been migrated to the new platform, you will not be able to log in to the legacy ClozdPortal. We will work with you and your team to ensure a smooth transition before flipping the switch.

Do I need to set up a new user account in the Clozd Platform if I already have
one in ClozdPortal

No. If you already have a Clozd user account, your user login and password will allow you to log in to the new Clozd Platform once your company has been migrated.

Will the cost of my win-loss interview program be affected?

No. Clients that are currently under contract for win-loss interview programs will not be assessed any fees for migrating or accessing the new Clozd Platform. You will continue to have unlimited user access to the Clozd Platform throughout the duration of your current contract.

As our solutions evolve, our pricing model may change. However, we will always honor existing contracts and share pricing updates well in advance of your program renewal. In the future we may release entirely new platform add-ons and modules that will be available for an additional fee.
